San Juan, Puerto Rico - Hyperion, the banking hub that makes bootstrapping and running a small business simple and accessible, has been accepted into two startup accelerator programs: TBR Lab and gBeta San Juan. Both programs are equity-free and focus on helping early-stage startups refine their business model, accelerate growth and gain access to capital. Features of the programs include coaching and mentorship, vendor perks and credits, and giving access to their investor network.
TBR Lab
TBR Lab is part of Tech Beach Retreat (TBR). The Vision of TBR Lab is to radically transform the digital landscape of the Caribbean and emerging markets. They empower the next generation of technologists and entrepreneurs to catapult their ideas and lead the future. TBR Lab started on April 30 and is designed to be an intensive eight-week program consisting of an expert delivered curriculum, over 100 industry mentors, tools, partners, and access to capital.
"TBR Lab is a unique program due to its focus on startups based in the Caribbean. It is impressive to witness all the innovation happening in this region, not to mention meeting many talented entrepreneurs. For Hyperion, the program has provided excellent mentorship and connections to investors. This is important to us as we prepare to raise our first round of funding. " said Hector Ayala, Co-Founder of Hyperion.
gBeta San Juan
gBETA is a program of nationally ranked startup accelerator gener8tor. gBETA is a free, seven-week accelerator for early-stage companies with local roots. gBETA started on May 7, capped at five startups, and requires no fees and equity. During the program, companies meet with the gBETA team twice a week for an hour each to refine their business model, meet mentors, strategize their growth, gain customer traction, and pitch investors.
"gBETA has bullish plans on integrating and growing the startup ecosystem all around the island. Their approach of bringing local entrepreneurs to our mentor swarm every week has been valuable in finding potential partnerships, understanding market needs, and building relationships within the island. I recommend local startups to join their upcoming cohort and keep improving the tech scene in Puerto Rico.", said Demibán Diaz, Co-Founder of Hyperion.
With TBR Lab and gBeta, Hyperion aims to connect with investors to raise a pre-seed round of funding. This funding round will be used to grow the team and launch the production-ready version of the product to market.
